Welcome Session

How long will the Welcome Session last?

The presentation will last for approximately 1 hour and there will be an opportunity to talk with staff following this. 

Who will be at the Welcome Session? 

There will be other people invited to hear about what Sequoia has to offer.


The service is staffed by a mix of Peer Support Workers, Clinicians, Wellbeing Practitioners, Leadership Staff and Administrators and there will be a small mixture of staff present at the sessions.

In person Welcome Sessions are held at community venues around Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Online Welcome Sessions are held on Microsoft Teams.

You will be invited into the building; teas and coffees will be available.
You will hear a presentation on:

  • How we use your data and consent to share
  • Overview of complex emotional needs and personality difficulties (CEN/PD)
  • What the Sequoia service is
  • What services Sequoia offers

You will be able to choose which support options you would like.
You will be asked to fill in some questionnaires.
You will be offered to book into a Support Conversation to discuss your chosen option or to think about which option is best for you.

There are Welcome Sessions in each geographical area and online. Once you have been invited you will be given details of exactly where the sessions are based. Once you have chosen one you will be sent directions.
