How you get support from Sequoia

Sequoia is gradually opening it's offer of support across three areas;  support is currently open to people who live in North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. In order to be eligible for a service you need to be registered with a GP in one of those areas. The service is not yet open in Bristol but the team are working hard to get the service ready in Bristol.

If you live in North Somerset or South Gloucestershire and you think you would benefit from some support from Sequoia, the first step is usually to contact your GP. They can refer you to one of the AWP Access services, these are teams who help to get people to the best type of support for them. The Access teams can then refer you to Sequoia. Once Sequoia gets a referral we do our best to make sure the person is right for our support; we do this by talking to the person referring you and by reading your notes. It might be that we suggest you get a different kind of support before coming to Sequoia.

Sequoia is not yet open to people living in Bristol, but the team are working hard to get the service open in Bristol. If you are registered with a GP in Bristol and think you need support with difficulties associated with personality disorder or complex emotional needs, then please speak to your GP. They will be able to signpost you to other sources of support.
